Terms
Last updated October 5, 2026
These terms cover your use of Sydbar (sydbar.app). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
The service
Sydbar helps you run the email, clients, scopes, invoices and bookings of the businesses you connect, including AI agents that can answer email for you when you turn that on. It’s new and changing quickly: features may change, and we may pause or end parts of it. We’ll give notice in the app for changes that affect your data.
Your account and your content
- You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your password and agent keys private.
- Your mail, clients, documents and other content remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Sydbar to you.
- Only connect mailboxes, calendars, repositories and workspaces you’re allowed to use.
What leaves, and who sends it
Sydbar drafts replies, invoices and scopes. Nothing is marked paid or written to your tools until you approve it. Email leaves your mailbox in one of two ways: you send it, or an agent sends it under the agent email rules you turned on for that business.
- Agent email is off until you turn it on, business by business. You choose which kinds of email agents may answer on their own and the guardrails they follow, such as the undo window, daily limits and who they may write to. Everything else waits for you. See Agent email.
- AI agents you connect with a key can draft replies for you. They can send only if you allow that key, and only under the same rules.
- Email an agent sends goes from your mailbox, on your behalf. You’re responsible for it as if you had sent it yourself, and for the rules you set. Every agent email is listed in Settings, and you can cancel one during its undo window or switch agent email off at any time.
- You’re responsible for complying with the laws that apply to the email you and your agents send, including any duty to tell people a message was written or sent by an automated system. Agent emails say they were sent by Sydbar for your business unless you turn that off.
AI output and AI judgments can be wrong. Sydbar’s checks reduce mistakes but can’t prevent all of them. You’re responsible for checking drafts before you approve them, including amounts, dates and recipients.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use Sydbar or its agents to send spam, to break the law, or to access data you don’t have the right to access.
- Don’t try to break, overload or get around the security of the service or of other people’s businesses.
Third-party services
Connections to Google, GitHub, Linear, Notion and AI providers are governed by their own terms. If you use your own AI key, your provider bills you for that use. See Privacy for who processes data.
No warranty, limited liability
Sydbar is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or USD 100 if you paid nothing).
Ending
You can stop using Sydbar at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account, or ask us to. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Contact: hello@sydbar.app.
