Sydbar on your phone
What works on a phone, the swipe gestures, and what's kept for a computer.
Sydbar works in your phone's browser. Open sydbar.app and sign in; you can add it to your home screen from the browser's share menu.
On iPhone, the home-screen app signs in with your email. iPhone keeps that app's sign-in separate from Safari and Chrome, and opens Google's pages outside it, so Continue with Google and Connect Gmail can't finish there. Use your email and password in the app, and connect Google from sydbar.app in Safari or Chrome.
Swipe gestures in the inbox
| Gesture | What happens |
|---|---|
| Swipe right past 60% | Archives right away. |
| Swipe right past 30% | Shows an Archive button. |
| Swipe left past 30% | Asks first: "Delete this conversation?" with Cancel and Delete. |
| In Archived, swipe right | Restore to the inbox. |
| In Trash, swipe left | Restore, without asking. |
After each action a toast offers Undo for 5 seconds. The phone vibrates at the 30% and 60% points. Delete moves the conversation to Trash; Gmail empties its Trash after 30 days.
All inboxes on a phone
Pulse shows the ring cluster on top and the list of inboxes below it; tap a row to open that inbox. Under the list, the latest conversations from each inbox.
What's different on a phone
- Calendar shows an agenda: one heading per day.
- Settings → Agents is kept for a computer, because that's where Claude Code, Codex and Cursor run. You can still see and revoke keys on a phone.
- The Refresh button and the Needs you toggle on a conversation only show on wider screens. New mail still arrives on its own, about every five minutes.
- Search is the magnifier at the top, which opens a full-screen search. ⌘K is the desktop shortcut.
Everything else (replies, invoices, clients, booking pages, business context) works the same.
