What is Sydbar
The agentic CRM for agencies whose work doesn't fit into one inbox. Sydbar keeps every client's story, from mail, calls, scope and code. Its agents answer the routine, chase what's owed and draft the rest, inside rules you set.
Sydbar is built for agencies and the day-to-day of client work: multiple inboxes, multiple clients, context spread across threads and tools, no clear next step, and delivered work that never gets invoiced. It reads the mail that matters (people in, bots and newsletters out), files it with the right client, puts the client's agreement beside every email, shows what needs you next, and helps you finish the work: replies, invoices, scopes of work, follow-ups and booked calls. Its agents answer the routine mail for you, inside rules you set for each business.
It closes the loop from the first call to the paid invoice. A discovery call becomes a scope of work, the client accepts it in a private portal, the work is tracked in GitHub or Linear, and each milestone is invoiced when it's delivered.
What it does
| Area | What Sydbar does |
|---|---|
| Inbox | One inbox per business. Sorts mail into Needs you, Clients, Follow-ups, Automated, Work and Archived, and suggests what needs you. |
| Replies | Write and send replies from the business's own mailbox, with its signature. Sending approves that exact message. Agents can answer the routine for you, inside rules you set (Agent email). |
| Clients and deals | A record per client with their team, history, deal stage (Lead, Proposal, Active, Invoiced, Paid) and open money. |
| Invoices | Drafts an invoice from the email and your context, as a PDF you attach to the reply and approve. |
| Projects | Turns call transcripts into a scope of work, shares it in a client portal, and tracks delivery in GitHub and Linear. |
| Calendar and booking | Shows your Google Calendar with Sydbar dates, and gives each business booking pages with branded confirmation emails. |
| Business context | What Sydbar knows about each business: an interview, documents and Notion pages. Used only after you confirm it. |
| Agents | Agent email answers the routine mail for a business inside rules you set, and an MCP server lets Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents read your workspace, prepare work and draft replies. |
Three promises
- You decide what leaves. You send it, or an agent sends it inside rules you set for that business, with an undo window. Sydbar never marks an invoice paid or changes a client's stage behind your back.
- Nothing is invented. Amounts, dates and terms come from your emails, calls and confirmed context. Anything missing is marked to confirm.
- Each business stays separate. Mail, clients, context and connections never cross between businesses.
What Sydbar doesn't do
- It doesn't send email on its own unless you turn on agent email, and then only for the situations you hand to agents.
- It doesn't take payments. It tracks invoices you send and asks you to confirm when one looks paid.
- It doesn't cancel subscriptions or contact vendors. It reminds you.
- It doesn't permanently delete mail. Trash in Sydbar is Gmail's Trash, which Gmail empties after 30 days.
