Each business is already the folder. Tags are a second layer inside it, and one conversation can carry more than one.

The tags

The set is fixed: Marketing, Operations, Finance and Clients.

Tag a conversation

  • Open the conversation and use the tag button. On a phone it's in the conversation bar.
  • Or select several in the list and choose Tag.

Filter by tag

The chips at the top of the list filter the current view. All clears the filter. The choice stays in the address (for example ?tag=finance), so it survives a reload and opening a conversation.

Suggestions

When a conversation looks like an invoice, a receipt, a payment or billing, Sydbar shows Suggest: Finance. It's applied only if you tap it, and X hides the suggestion. Sydbar never tags on its own.

Gmail labels

With Gmail connected through Google (and permission to change mail), each tag is also a Gmail label named Sydbar/Finance, Sydbar/Clients and so on. If Gmail can't be reached, the tag still saves in Sydbar. App-password mailboxes and sample conversations are left unchanged.
