Quickstart
From sign-in to your first sent reply in about ten minutes.
1. Sign in
Go to sydbar.app/sign-in, enter your email and choose Continue. Then sign in with your password, or, when sign-up is open, choose Create your account (passwords are at least 10 characters). You don't need a Google account to sign in. See Account and sign-in.
If the workspace is invite-only you'll see "This workspace is private. Ask the owner for access." The owner adds your address on the server.
2. Set up your first business
Sydbar opens Set up your business, three steps:
- Tell us about your business. Talk it through (a voice note of up to 10 minutes), describe it, upload a doc, or paste notes. Add notes or a doc about your clients and how you work; if your first message didn't name the business, Sydbar asks for that.
- Check what Sydbar learned. Tick what's right, set your default payment terms, and choose Continue.
- Bring in your email. Choose Continue with Google, or Use an app password instead (iCloud, Yahoo and most other mail; Microsoft mailboxes can't connect yet). Pick how many of your latest conversations to bring in: 25, 50, 100 or 250.

3. Watch your inbox fill in
Sydbar opens your inbox as it fills in, keeping newsletters, notifications and promotions in your mailbox. When it's done, it suggests clients from the people it found: choose Add for each one you work for, then Open my inbox. After that it checks for new mail about every five minutes; press Refresh in the inbox to check right away.
Skipped the email step? Connect later in Settings → Connections. See Gmail and App passwords.
4. Teach Sydbar the business
Open Business context in the side rail and start the interview: eight short topics, one question at a time, about ten minutes. You review the result before Sydbar uses it. See Business context.
5. Handle your first email
- Open Needs you: the people and clients waiting on you, due follow-ups first.
- Open a conversation. The side panel shows the client, the deal stage and any invoice.
- Choose Reply, write, and press Send. Or press C to create an invoice from the email.
- The review shows who receives it and from which address. Nothing goes until you press Send.
6. Optional next steps
- Signature: import your Gmail signature or design one.
- Booking pages: a link people use to book a call.
- Connect your AI agent: let Claude Code, Codex or Cursor work with Sydbar.
